A Quaking grass dried bunch. This natural bunch of dried quaking oats is oatmeal in colour and with stems up to about 60cm long. Each little seed head is about 1 cm long and rustles when moved. These dried grasses are popular in flower arranging. A member of the Briza family of grasses. The bundle of well over a hundred stems is about 3 cm across where tied (simply tied with an elastic band). As dried flowers and grasses can be a little brittle, not every seed head will be complete, as shown in image with white background. Botanical name Briza maxima.
