Mounted pressed flowers large - handmade herbarium made using UK grown Delphiniums

Annual Delphiniums are an English cottage garden favourite and are also known as Larkspur or Consolida. These UK grown delphiniums are in shades of pale to dark blue, cream and green, and we pressed them in our Sussex workshop. In this piece of handmade wall art there are five flower spikes laid in a row with loose petals interspersed between. The pretty blue Larkspur flowers symbolise light-heartedness in the language of flowers. These blooms are 100% natural and so always have small imperfections which is part of the charm. This unique gift is inspired by Victorian herbariums where pressed flowers were used for botanical science. Handmade in Sussex.

The pressed flowers are arranged on white A4 archival acid-free paper with a sturdy ivory mount approx 39.8cm x 29.8cm. The black frame is for illustration only and is not included. Picture requires a frame or glass cover.
