This frame creates the floating effect by having the picture sandwiched between a front and back pane of glass. This floating frame is ideal to give as a gift. The wood has a popular unfinished rustic appearance. If a transparent / floating background is not needed, why not use a coloured paper backing. The 4.5cm depth of the frame means that it can be used free-standing. It also has metal loops on the back which can be used in portrait or landscape orientations.
