Eryngium is a natural thistle, also known as Sea Holly, air dried for flower arranging and flower crowns. Each UK bunch consists of five branched stems, just under 60cm long. Each natural thistle flower is between 2 to 5cm long. Natural variability means that the dried flower heads and stems can vary between pale blue, steely blue and green. The variety is Anita. Eryngium is popular in floristry for weddings or to add an architectural element to a bouquet or home decor. Being part of the thistle family, Eryngiums are popular for Scottish themed events.
