Leaf width is up to about 4mm and length up to about 4cm. The narrow leaves are mid green on a red-brown woody stem. Dried foliage can be crispy to the touch and more fragile than chemically preserved leaves - however they are far less expensive and don't have a chemical smell!

Callistemon is an exotic-looking red flower but it's leaves are useful in their own right as a background for colourful dried flowers, or for minimalist home decor. The benefit of Callistemon is that the leaves tend not to drop, discolour, or crumple on drying.
